Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully because they set out the terms under which Shadow Curtains makes the products on this website available to you. You must read and agree with these terms and conditions before buying online. When buying goods from our website you enter an agreement with London Eye Home Textile Limited, Unit 3, 19 Queensway, London EN3 4SA trading as Shadow Curtains Company Reg: 5747814. The agreement will be concluded when you place the order. These conditions apply to all your website purchases. We may change these terms from time to time without any prior notice. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received. It is your responsibility to check terms & conditions before you place your order.

1. Our Products:

a) Descriptions and photography
Our products are either photographed or digitally produced. On account of computer settings colour tone may appear differently. You may request free samples before placing your order to ensure that you are happy with the colour and quality before ordering. Any minor variation, change in colour or pattern between the sample or description and the goods delivered shall not entitle you to reject the goods nor refund or to claim any compensation for such variation or change.

b) Measurements
It is your responsibility to take the correct measurements of your window, curtain pole or track. Please refer to our FAQ and Measuring Guide. You must check the product details and measurements of the goods before placing your order online and you are responsible for checking the order via the email confirmation. We cannot accept returns or refund the money if you have given us incorrect measurements of goods which are made to measure as we are not able to resell them.

2. Payment

We can only process your order when the Products ordered have been paid in full by credit or debit card to include the delivery charge. You can pay online with all major credit cards, debit cards and PayPal. Your payment card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure.

According to the Consumer Protection (Distant Selling) Regulations 2000 made-to-measure goods eg blinds are excluded from this legislation and the cancellation rights do not apply.
Prices quoted on our site are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.
Prices exclude delivery charges except where expressly stated otherwise. Our delivery charges are set out on our website.
Paytment Methods Accepted are:
PAYPAL, VISA CREDIT/DEBIT, MASTERCARD

3. Acceptance

We have the right to cancel your order if:
1) We have insufficient stock to provide and deliver the goods ordered.
2) We do not deliver to your area.

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you as soon as possible. No discounts or compensation can be offered under these circumstances.

4. Delivery and Transport

You will receive your order at the address you give us. Please remember that delivery of orders from our website are only made in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Once you have placed your order and made payment you will receive a confirmation email from us. If you do not receive it we recommend that you check that this has not been sent to you spam folder. If you do not eventually receive it please telephone us. We aim to deliver your order within 2 to 3 working days. Orders placed on Friday after 3pm will be processed on Monday. The charge for delivery of orders under £50 in value is £8.50 otherwise the delivery charges are free.

5. Returns and Exchange

If you are not completely satisfied with your order please return it in its original condition within 14 days of the date of shipment for an exchange or refund. NB made-to-measure products are not refundable unless there is a manufacturer’s fault.

6. General

We are committed to responsible data management and subscribe to principles of the Data Protection legislation in the United Kingdom. We are committed to maintaining the privacy of our users and to maintaining the security of any personal information received from you. We do provide information to agencies or companies or any third parties in regards to marketing and commercial purposes. Specific information can be disclosed due to governmental request in response to court orders or required by law.

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent. We will never pass your details on to any third party without your express permission. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us in the future.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:-
– your name
– address
– phone number
– email address
– credit/debit card details

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
